How do I stop the guy from flinging boulders at the mansion?

1. Have you talked to him? He'll give you a hint as to what to do.
2. He won't stop without an injunction, but he will take a temporary break.
3. If only he had food.
4. Don't go on until you've found some food to get for him. You might want to check the SCUMM Bar if you haven't already.
5. Have you given the catapult operator the kudu jerky pretzles?
6. He goes away, but comes right back. You must need to do something more.
7. Have you asked him what those numbers he's muttering mean?
8. I'll tell you what: distract him with food. While he's gone, take a look at the catapult.
9. You can tinker with the controls, you know.
10. If you fiddle with those controls, when the operator returns he has to re-calibrate the catapult by shooting at the odd-shaped cactus.
11. So you have a way to force him to throw a stone at a specific target.
12. A suspiciously sling-shot-shaped target.
13. Have you been down to the harbor?
14. Have you been down to the harbor and picked up the uninflated inner tube?
15. If so, you have all of the tools you need to solve this puzzle.
16. Use the inner tube with the odd-shaped cactus. Go give the pretzels to the catapult operator. While he's gone, fiddle with the catapult controls. Stand back and watch what happens.
