Creator: Gaius Petrius Scenario: Brentium

Desc: The year is AD 42, and our new emperor Caludius I details a grand plan for the restoration of Rome's dignity after the ill fated rule of his nephew Caligula. There will be changes in Rome, and on the empire's far reaching frontiers as well. In the north a drive is under way to extend our provinces, and to bring the Britons at last under the empire's dominion. The land we set our sights on is rich in natural resources, but raw and untamed, crying out for the firm steady hand and clear vision of a commander such as yourself. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to build and nurture a thriving seaport city on Britannia's eastern shore. You will undoubtedly encounter resistance. The Britons numbers are not great, but they are fiercely stubborn. You will, of course, prevail, and raise Brentium as a shining example of the promise Rome brings. As Consul, drawing a generous salary, you will likely wish to invest heavily in your fledgeling settlement, as the emperor will expect your city to be a cultural center as well as a sword arm of the empire. May the gods be with you. Hail Caesar!
