Desc: The native village of Stabiae on the southern slopes of Mount Vesuvius has requested that Caesar develop a trade city in a valley north of their village and a mission post at their village. They are so eager for Roman civilization that they have even cleared the land and have laid roads around the natural spring located there. Their only stipulation is that no military presence be built in the new province. Caesar, eager for new customers, has agreed and orders you to building the new suburb south of Capua. He will honor the native requests and therefore forbids you to build forts, walls, towers, military academies or barracks in the new suburb. Otherwise you are free to develop anyway you wish. Caesar plans to ask you for the timber and furniture needed by the empire. Pacifying the natives is your top priority. But mind Caesar's cryptic departing words. "Vesuvius sleeps uneasily!" Hope you can use it. It's a simulation of the 79 AD eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.
