Desc: Well you certainly have the luck of the draw, do you not? Our eastward expansion requires a new city in the province of Illyrieum. As you know, the ancient land route to Aegyptus and Syria passes through this province. Trading is abundant, both land and sea born. In addition, you will find all the resources that you will require to build an exemplary Roman city. A governor of your skill should turn this into a very profitable venture. The province is not entirely peaceful however. Two local tribes may cause you troubles. I am sure that you can subdue them with a few legions and prosper. I must have the road opened and defended. I want you to build a medium city on one of the small rivers, and bring Pax Romana to the barbarians. In addition, locate and re-establish the ancient trade road. Because of the risk involved and my desire to see this trade route opened quickly I am prepared to be generous with your initial funds. I do expect reasonable achievement in your evaluation marks however. The province is abundant in all of the things you will need but has a somewhat difficult terrain. And by the way, the salt marshes on the coast of Illyrieum are the home of the Eastern Aegean sea bass. I recommend that you try some of this wonderful food, one of the rewards for taking this risk.
