Creator: Stringbags Scenario: Into the Valley

Desc:

The Birth and Death of the Roman Republic

The Birth and Death of the Roman Republic is a multi-scenario career that spans a thousand year period from the beginning of the first millenium BC to the collapse of the Roman republic from the viewpoint of Rome. All landscapes are as close to reality as is possible and all events are authentic for the time periods described.

2. Into the Valley

The valleys between the Palatine, Esquiline and Caelian hills were settled in the 7th century BC. At this time trade with both the Etruscans and the Greeks evolved. Under the rule of its kings, Rome became a powerful force in central Italy. During the regal period, social and economic differences began to polarize the population into two classes, the wealthy Patricians and the lower-class Plebians.

The hills are already settled and the natives are not friendly so it may be best to steer clear of the high ground, but the valleys between contain fertile land so this should not prove a problem. Wolves may cause you a problem though.
