Desc: The Carthaginians have been very active in Iberia lately. Rumors told us that they are planning an attack on our beloved capitol, crossing the Alps, in the near future. Of course every sane man knows that this is impossible but the Emperor doesn't want to take any chances. He therefore orders you, his pronounced consul, to build a major port on the coasts of Iberia near Valentia, a small native village.
Your orders are definite. Stop any army trying to gain passage to Rome, coming from north or south. It seems the barbarians in Germania are restless too. Every attack on Rome must be known, throughout the world, as futile and meaningless. Any opposition will be crushed. To break the spirit of Carthage, your city must achieve very high ratings. You'll be granted a enormous rich province in which to do so.
But beware! Carthaginian spies have been reported in Rome and they might have heard of the Roman plan to stop them. So, be careful 'cause they might have stirred up a few of the locals. Build up your defenses as quickly as you can.
In the meantime, Caesar is preparing Italy for battle, in case you might not succeed. So expect him for different kind of deliveries to help him out, except for the usual needs of Rome itself of course.
Note 1: In true history this story never happened. The belief of Hannibal, crossing the Alps, was absolute. This could not be done (or so they believe).Try to change history in this assignment and prevent Hanni from crossing.
Note 2: This is a very hard assignment with a lot of invasions, coming from all sides. Prepare for this. You locally have access to almost all resources and a tremendous trade-output, so this may not make any problem.
