Really an average scenario, in fact, it's on the easier side. It's a desert province with rocks and one oasis. It's peaceful, so no invasions, but there are a few requsts for troops. The only
warning is not to anger Mars, as the natives could attack you.
This scenario is a good choice if you want to practice city building in a desert. There's no wheat farming allowed, and just enough land to grow fruit, vegetables, and pigs (plus
vines and olives). The map gives you several possibilities to solve this mission, but don't forget to leave room for aquaducts - water is accessible in the center of the map
only and has to be distributed across the entire city. The Prosperity requirement of 50, however, is fairly low for an assignment without any time limits, military action, or limits on housing levels.
Please don't misunderstand me, the scenario is good - it's just rather simple (or maybe I should say straightforward) and easy for a seasoned player. I found it to be a welcome challenge after several harder
scenarios. I didn't have to pay attention to planning quite so much, I just played, sometimes tested new ideas, watched how the city grew, and had a good time!
My final results after nine years were as follows:
62 Culture (45 needed)
70 Prosperity (50)
38 Peace (35)
84 Favor (75)
4600 Population (4000)
