Story/Instructions |
Empire Area: Syracusae Rank: CitizenGoals to Win - Culture: 100 Prosperity: 100 Peace: 100 Favor: 100
Other Constraints - Population: 0 Time to Survive: No Time to Defeat: No
The layout of this map is challenging. Land is limited, which forces the player to plan their city carefully.
The goals to win are high (100 for everything), although there is not a set goal for population, which might make things a little easier.
Rome supplies wheat, so the scarce farmland can be used for vines or olives. Caesar does not make a single request, making the favor rating effectively impossible
to achieve. Also, as a Citizen, you are not paid a salary. This means that you have to lose favor by paying yourself a salary in order to get the funds
to send Caesar any gifts.
Play this map long enough and a special event will occur (some might call it "earth shattering"), followed soon by a large invasion - the only attack
in the scenario.
Parts of this scenario didn't make total sense to me, and I have my doubts on it being winnable, but the design alone is worth checking out for those that want
a mostly peaceful challenge.
