Angel Reckless Rodent’s map is a challenging configuration of resources that will present you with some interesting city building problems.  He’s also thrown in a little bit of everything to keep your 50 years lively.  Events include a gladiator revolt, an earthquake, and a few invasions.

If you're looking for a military campaign, however, you probably won't find this one very satisfying.  Armies trickle in by the 15's and 30's for the first 35 years.   By the end, you'll get a couple of good stand up battles, but nothing to write home about.

In this kind of scenario, the focus, then, has to be on city building, but that calls for a larger and more varied map -- especially if it's going to hold our interest for 50 years.  I do appreciate the reasonable Prosperity setting, however.  Man, I hate sitting around tweaking two different types of wine into my palaces...

This scenario is just what its title says.  It is a 50 year survival.  Survive for 50 years and you might win if your ratings are high enough.

The scenario is enjoying at fist, but tend to drag on into eternity.  It took me about 2 years to make a good sized, profitable city, that was well defended.  After that it was basically 48 years of fullfilling Caesar's wishes and fighting off local uprisings and those pesky Carthinagins.

The creativity is fairly good.  I myself have thought about designing a scenario like this one, however after how boring this one got I don't think I will.

The scenario is definitly winnable, if you can make yourself play the scenario for 50 years.  The hardest thing is to keep your cities prosperity rising.  Favor is pretty easy to get because Caesar has many requests so if you miss one don't worry.

I would recommend this scenario to anyone who has a little experience because the design off the map makes starting location important.  If you're stuck at home on a rainy day or snowed in like I am it's a good scenario to download, however if you do not have the patience to play for at least 10 days dont bother.

It has a good quality though.  It allows a person to build a prosperous city as well as get use to defending it.  I think it may be better than 2.4 but that is what I give it.
