Dweller technology combined with my unique housing block to create the Grand/Large Villa Grand/Large Insulae combination, really helped tone down the difficulty.
Brugle's Cliff Dweller technology enables large/grand
insulae settlement in the valley, speeding trade for the initial part of the game; and eliminates the need for any housing on the plateau. I especially like how the city absorbs the native village.
