At sea, your
ship will be attacked by a group of Githyankis. As it turns out, the blade
that Saemon wanted to give you was stolen from the Giths. During the fighting
that erupts, a group of Sahuagin will board the vessel and attack as
well. The ship will sink, taking you down with it. You will keep the
"Silver Blade".
1.
After the boat ride, you will find yourself in front of the Royal High
Priestess Senityili. She will fill you in on the details (so I will
not). Captain Feerlattiys will then take you to see the "most
exalted King Ixilthetocal".
2.
King Ixilthetocal will request a test of you. Go along with it and you
will end up fighting an Ettin. After the fight, the King will view you
as the human from their prophecy. He will then ask you to go and kill
the Rebel Leader "Prince Villynaty". Agree for now... You can
make up your mind later. [Note: if you want to skip through this area,
pick pocket the King now and then grab the items (you will miss out on a
couple of good items and a good amount of exp if you skip this part)].
After speaking
with the King, return to the Priestess at location
#1. She will present
with with another option. Instead of killing the Rebels, you should
speak with them and if you agree... You can side with them.
3.
The Imps in this area have a game they would like to play.
They will summon 5 people who are famous (not famous to the real world).
Each of the apparitions will ask you for an item, and each of them will
give you an item for someone else. Incase you are having trouble, the
answers are [Drizzt - Scimitar] [Piergeiron - Helm] [Alustriel -
Pendant] [Khelben - Staff] [Elminster - Pipe]. After dropping the
correct item into the correct chest, you will gain the "Boots of
Etherealness" and the "Clock of Protection +2".
4.
Just past the Imps game, you will find a Beholder named the Spectator.
He is guarding the chest, and will not attack unless you touch it. If
you speak with him, you can reason with him, gaining 15,000 exp, and
being allowed to grab the "Sekolah's Tooth" from the
chest. Alternatively, you could just kill him... But that is up to you.
5.
At location 5, you will be ambushed by a group of Rebels. One
of them (the Priestess) will drop the "Cloak of Mirroring"
(a very good item).
After this ambush, you will encounter lots of Rebels. Only attack the
ones who attack you, and make your way towards #6.
6.
In this red pit, you will find a group of undead. You can
skip this area altogether if you like... However if you do come here,
you can gain a little more exp. There is no quest, or no items (of
value) in this area, but each of the undead will give you a little exp
for killing them.
7.
To locate the sealed doors, you will need to access the stairs at
location #7. When you enter the lower area, you will be attacked by a
group of Rebels.
8.
After opening the "sealed doors" (you must have the Sekolah's
Tooth in your inventory to open the doors), you will be taken to
location #8. Prince Villynaty will ask you to use a fake heart, and help
the Rebels overthrow the mad King. At this point, you will be able to
choose to work with the King or with the Prince. The choice is up to
you. Working with the Prince will award you with the most quest exp.
Working with the king will award you with an artifact piece (Wave
Blade). All role-playing aside, if you want the most bang for your buck,
you should help the prince, and then after it is all over with, you
should pick his pockets for the "Wave Blade". If you kill the
Prince, he will drop the Wave Blade, and if you kill the King, he will
drop the "Impaler". You can pick pocket either one for
the item that you did not gain.
9.
You will need the Magic Rope in order to enter the Underdark. You can
find the Magic Rope inside the small closet at location #2. You will
need to use the "Sahuagin Treasury Key" to open the locked
door. You will find the Sahuagin Scribe's Notes, the Magic
Rope, and the
Rod of Lordly Might inside the closet.
Use the Magic
Rope at location #9 to decent to the Underdark.
This will put
an end to Chapter 4...
