In this area,
you will be looking for the first piece of the Rod Artifact. along the
way, you will fight a few enemies, but the one to mention is at location
#3.
1.
Check the wall for a few items... Watch out for the trap!
2.
At the bridge, you will need to correctly answer 3 of the Guardians
questions. Once you answer them, the bridge will extend so that you can
cross over. [Answer: Incase you were wondering, the correct answers are "1.
Life, 2. Time, 3. The Current One"].
3.
At location #3 (just as you cross the bridge), you will be attacked by 2
Gauths and a Beholder. Be ready ahead of time...
4.
At location #4, you will need to speak with the "Diseased
One".
5.
Enter the Temple in the rear of the area. Inside you will fight an
Empathic Manifestation. The trick to killing this thing is to heal it.
The Manifestation well make a comment that will hint about the solution, but
this one is a bit difficult to figure out. Once you kill the
Manifestation, the Avatar will appear and fill you in on the situation.
He will give you the "Rift Device Part" and he will ask that
you return once you have assembled both parts. On your way out of the
Temple, speak with the Diseased One again. He will doubt what you say.
Once you have completed the "Unseeing Eye" quest, you need to
return and speak with the Diseased One for your final time. This will
trigger a cut-scene where you will end up freeing them all from their
endless cycle. For doing so, you will receive 47,250 exp and the "Saving
Grace +3" shield. By the way... The shield rocks!
