When Coin transformed Ankh-Morpork into a white, clean and beautiful place, a number of citizens may have been killed or worse.
During the Magic War massive destruction was caused to Ankh-Morpork, Quirm and Al Khali. It is highly likely a large number of the citizens would have been killed.
The Ice Giants went on the march stopping just short of the cities on the Sto Plain. An unknown number of people would have been crushed beneath the ice.
