Version History / What's New
14 November 2001 -- version 7a.5.3.2
- Another stealth update in order to decrease the amount of identical
feedback coming in. The first fix adds to the TLC annotations an
explicit link to the 'Xxxx' annotation in RM. The second fix adds
both R2D2 and Daleks as possibilities for the GO robot
annotation.
26 August 2001 -- version 7a.5.3.1
- This is a sneak micro update with one change only: Removed the CJ
'hedge money' annotation, which was (a) wrong, and therefore (b) causing
tons of near-identical feedback from observant correspondents.
10 July 2001 -- version 7a.5.3
- 82 annotations for previously unannotated Carpe Jugulum
added.
- 45 annotations for already-annotated books added or significantly
corrected/expanded.
- Tweaked movie, Shakespeare, and Bible detection filters: more titles
are now recognised and URLified.
- Minor tweaks to the Style Sheet: a less glaring 'unvisited link'
colour, a more subdued 'visited link' colour.
- Various minor cosmetic fixes in the APF base text itself.
- Added new entries for future books/stories, as mentioned by
Terry on afp.
- Added two new editorial sections.
29 March 2001 -- version 7a.5.2
- 94 annotations for previously unannotated The Last
Continent added.
- 6 annotations for already-annotated books added or significantly
corrected/expanded.
- Tweaked movie detection filters: more movie titles are now linked
directly to the Internet Movie Database.
- Complete separation of content and presentation implemented using
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
- Pages now validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict.
- First cautious experiments with Style Sheet attributes (coloured
text, paragraph spacing, font suggestions) to make the APF pages easier
to read.
- Known 'bug': the move to XHTML/CSS means
that in many current and older browsers the APF may now look "less good"
then before. The actual content should not be affected: any problems
should be purely of a -- mild -- cosmetic nature.
28 February 2001 -- version 7a.5.1
- 96 annotations for previously unannotated Jingo added.
- 11 annotations for already-annotated books added or significantly
corrected/expanded.
- The broken Shakespeare links have been fixed.
- A large number of minor corrections and updates to both the APF
itself and to the HTML and links.
- Pages now validate as HTML 4.0 Transitional.
24 December 2000 -- version 7a.5
- 205 new annotations for the previously unannotated Feet of
Clay and Hogfather added.
- Preface and index page rewritten, headers changed to incorporate
Miq.
- This page added.
- Known bug: most Shakespeare links are
broken, because MIT changed the directory structure of their site in an
extremely horrible way.
