• Newsletter 1 - 15/6/99
  "Impressions Games displayed a prototype of Pharaoh at the Electronic Entertainment Expo held in Los Angeles May 13-16. The prototype showed off many features promised in the full game: the Nile's floods, flood plain farming, combat on water, irrigation, ferry crossings, entertainment squares, etc. The highlight of this early version of the game was pyramid construction, which could be seen assembled block by block. The game was supported by an animated trailer, available for download from http://www.pharaoh1.com."

• Newsletter 2 - 26/8/99
  "Each morning, we rise with the sun (well, almost) to begin anew our noble task.  As Ra's golden boat sails the sky, and sometimes long after it completes its daily journey, our toils continue.  Piece by piece, inch by inch, we come closer to achieving our lofty goal.  As day turns to evening, we take a step back to survey the day's work.  Soon enough, we will complete our most illustrious mission."

• Newsletter 3 - 22/10/99
  "After tremendous toil and the loss of blood (those paper cuts will get you every time), sweat and even some tears, the mighty monument is complete. Pharaoh for the PC is complete, and there is much rejoicing.  Expect to see it on the shelves of your local game store in the second week of November.  By now, you know what to expect from Pharaoh: you'll erect massive monuments that stand throughout the ages while leading your family to world-renown and building a kingdom unmatched in history.
