Waiting for Godot
ll of the United States
seems to be waiting for the scenario editor, while all of Europe and the rest of the world
are waiting for the game itself to hit a shop near home.
The Senet House is honouring
Bastet and started discussing cats
again.
There is also a thread that started discussing the Egyptian names
that you can see in the game. Innovandora has been spotted as a scantily clad dancer and
rumour has it Angel Reckless Rodent can be found amongst those that want to lay waste to
your beautiful cities...if you find him, could you mail me a screenshot of Angel Reck in action?
Then there is more on the
art of building a mastaba
and mining disasters.
Tomorrow will see Egypt in
the capable hands of Angel Reckless Rodent as I will be flying back to Rome.

Brand new demo to download
id the many problems with
the demo put you off? Were you worried about the "Freeze?" Are you still not
sure Pharaoh can take the place of your current favourite game?
If so,
you can give it another go, with the brand-new, revamped Pharaoh demo, which you can
download from the IGN site. Careful
though, as it weighs in at approximately 27.1 Mbytes and comes with a couple of
extensions, one audio (19.7 Mbytes) and one video (17.8 Mbytes).
The Download section received it's first Giza experiment
in sphinx building today and three more cities.
The Game Help forum has
information on Abu,
importing food
, and smuggling.

Another busy day in the forums
ome of the current topics
in the Game Help forum are: Missing overseers,
industrial layouts,
more about the gods moods and the little ankhs,
and Dragon's police defense maze.
The Senet house is having fun
with Wendoolicus' quiz,
which managed to get to it's second incarnation, Babelfish
translations of the Sierra sites and the first confessions of people that think Pharaoh
has taken over their life.
And of course you can still
post your signature in the Signature
Showcase.

Welcome to the Senet House
change of name, but not of
purpose. What used to be known as the Community forum has now been aptly renamed to the
Senet House.
We also see the arrival of a new forum. The Announcements
forum. This forum is there for the angels and cherubs to have a place where they can
announce new additions to the site, in a way a bit more hands-on than updating the news
page.
It will also help people that don't even bother reading the news.
We have some interesting threads
on the Game Help forum. They concern Invisible
obstructions, feeding your population without granaries
and more on Meidum, Abu and Senet walkers.
Angel Draco added another
handful of cities to the download forum. We now offer you: Abu, Abedju, Behdet, North and
South Dashur, Meidum, Men-nefer and Saqarra.
Then we had some more moves
and additions, courtesy of Angel Reckless Rodent. He's been busy as ever on the Strategy pages. Files have
been added, the Gods have been moved and he's added the Hot Keys sent to him by MRed to a web page.

More cities ready for download
ot only did Angel Draco
upload a handful of cities, he also added a number of background images.
Please note, that you can send in your cities to Angel Draco, but remember to tell him:
- Your Name & E-Mail Address
- City Name
- Kingdom (Old, Middle or New)
- A Description, If Any Saved In Notepad
(.txt)
- Your Score
Wendoolicus has a nifty,
little quiz running in the Community forum. The questions are clever and challenging. You
can try your luck here.
Last but not least Angel Zen
pointed out a very interesting picture. I added a link
in the community forum.

We apologise for the loss of signal
t seems the news page went
missing for several hours. It's back and we'll try not to let it happen again. So what's
going on today?
Angel Reckless Rodent, yes,
him again, he seems to be a tad bored in Germany, found us some more reviews. The nice
thing about these is that you can add a review yourself.
In the game help forum we have a spot of wild life trouble.
Hyenas eating gold-bearers, crocodiles eating policemen and hippos squashing reed
gatherers. If you have any ideas on how to handle them, tell us here.
Another of our Angels, Draco
has added a temporary download
section. Why temporary, you might ask? Well, we've been promised the most wonderful
download pages in Heaven. It may take a while for them to be up, so that's why we opened a
temporary one.
You can find more on the
theories of pyramid planning and building over here.

Bits and pieces
emeber the news bit we ran
a couple of weeks ago, where we we're looking for an Artful Cherub?
Of course you do.
Well, we found some computer graphical talents among the people already associated with
the site, which means we will not be appointing a new cherub soon.
However, we will keep the applications on file and they will be used for future reference.
Angel Reckless Rodent added
another review to the review pages, so if you're still wondering whether or not to buy the
game.
In the Game
Help forum people are zooming through the levels. Places like Abu, Abedju, Saqarra,
Serabit Khadim, Dashur, Bedhet, Men-nefer. All of these begin to become as familiar to us
as once, Caesarea, Lugdunum and Mediolanum were.
Some people aren't quite zooming and would like some tips
It seems the Intermediate
goals are a bit misleading to some people. I remember waiting for things to happen while I
thought let's not produce beer just yet, and failing miserably because the scenario was
waiting for beer.
Take it from me and from the messages posted on the Sierra forum: As long as the message
is there, the scenario is still waiting for you to reach the stated goal.
The quicker you get there the more time you have for the rest of the scenario.
All that rests is to say
"Hi" to Robert Davies, who turned out to be our 50,000th visitor.
