Watch that letterbox!
ight now, I think that Itchy from Impressions is trying to double or triple his post count in the HGS forums ;-) .  Seriously though, it's great that he's in there keeping us up to date with what's going on with regard to the beta.   Here's his latest offering, letting us know that the CDs were posted to the people selected for the first beta yesterday:

So, If you received an e-mail inviting you to participate in the Beta Test, watch your mailboxes. By the time you get your CDs, your access to the Beta Forum should be enabled for those in the 1st round of selected beta testers.

Also, we will be instituting a chat room in the Beta Forum in order to conduct Q&A sessions with beta testers in real time.

We will most likely be sending out e-mails on Monday or Tuesday to round 2 Beta Test selectees.

Thanks to all that signed up - the response has been overwhelming.

Regards-

Jon

Speaking of the beta, then remember that today is the last day during which you can sign up if you want to participate.  So, if you want to be in, then don't forget to apply!

We haven't had a Jayhawk update for a while...There's some good news on that front, because I believe that the phone company came and connected him up a couple of days ago.  He says he's having problems with his modem though, so we'll all have to site tight and await developments.

A bit of general HGS news - if you're into a bit of AOE, then be warned that the Mongolian Campaign Design Contest over at our sister site Age of Empires Heaven ends on August 25th (my birthday:)).  So get those entries in if you haven't already done so!
