Cleopatra
Interview, part 3
ARR:
Why would someone who's already got Pharaoh want to buy this
expansion pack?
Alex:
The expansion pack is a great way to add variety to the
scenarios included with Pharaoh. In addition to the new monuments
and industries, Cleopatra unlocks the campaigns in Pharaoh,
allowing players to access all the maps in the original game,
regardless of whether the prior ones were completed. This
will be a great benefit to someone who perhaps got stuck on
a mission and wasn't able to proceed. And with the included
editor, players will be able to create their own scenarios,
giving people unlimited range to play in and explore the wonderful
land of Egypt.
ARR:
How much is all this going to cost the gamer?
Alex:
Pharaoh Official Expansion: Cleopatra™ will ship with
a suggested retail price of $29.95 US.
ARR:
Are you aiming for a worldwide simultaneous release, or will
localisation mean that versions other than the US one are
delayed a bit?
Alex:
We are currently targeting a simultaneous world-wide release,
but as you know, many issues can arise in localizing a game
into so many different languages. We're committed to bringing
the product to market to as many people as possible as quickly
as possible, so we'll reserve decision on whether it will
be a total or partial world-wide release as we get closer
to the launch date.
ARR:
What are Impressions working on next, apart from Civil War
Generals III?
Alex:
Impressions Games is hard at work on a couple of new titles,
building on the popular brands we have created over our decade
of being in business. Look for announcements regarding our
newest products at or before the E3 Expo in May.
Ok,
that's your lot for the moment. I'd like to thank Alex and
Breakaway for spending the time to do this interview. May
there be many more in the future ;).
