Safe Seas

For Cleopatra expansion pack

Story

Recently, many ships have been lost in the Greek islands. This is restricting trade with Egypt from the north.

We have arranged a treaty, whereby you may build a construction camp on the northeastern tip of one of the larger islands, to be used exclusively for the creation of a lighthouse, to serve the Greek islands. We are free to settle the surrounding small islands, and to use what resources we can find there.

The treaty calls for no military involvement in the area. The Greeks will trade goods for the construction workers, but no one will risk the treacherous waters to take fancy jewelry to the construction workers.

This is a golden opportunity to extend our influence to the north. Rather than just building the agreed construction camp, attempt to build a city of 8,000 spread across the islands. Even though luxury is sparse, attract the best people that you can. Let's not have this place looking like a work camp! Spread good healthcare, religion and entertainment throughout the city, so that many of your residents have all that they fancy.

There appears to be abundant wildlife and fishing opportunities. I expect that you will have some food to spare. Our mining engineers have also found ores, deep within the islands.

Although you should get that lighthouse up and running soon, you may proceed at your leisure to create a thriving community.
