Birthplace of Cleopatra , by Laurels

Scenario ID = 77
Date Submitted = 2000-08-31

Author's Description:

This scenario is basically a retake on Alexandria, with a smaller more manageable landscape and gold mining has been added to enhance its prosperity. Story as follows:

"Cleopatra was born in the city of Alexandria. Once a grand city, it was reduced to a remnant of what it once was. The Pharaoh's seers have foretold a great queen coming, and wish to rebuild Alexandria into a great city deserving of this future honor. Queen Bernice has entrusted you, great Vizier to handle this task. Many cities are willing to trade with you, but as our once great kingdom is now in lean times, they will not be trading as much as they once were.

As your city is safely ensconced in the heart of the upper kingdom, you are free from attacks. But as your city should be a thriving metropolis, you will need to build your strongest forts to aid other cities and to conquer new trade lands.

Queen Bernice asks that you build the city just as it once was, with a Pharaoh's Lighthouse, a Great Library and a small obelisk to proclaim to all it's renewed grandeur."

REQUIRMENTS
Culture: 85
Prosperity: 80
Kingdom: 80

same natural resources as original Alexandria campaign..reeds and clay. (no evil snakes!) Plus the gold mining. Several battle requests trigger trade routes and gifts, so be sure to send your strongest. (warships disabled, forts and transports only) About 90% of requests trigger gifts, much needed to make money so be sure to have all natural resources on hand.

I found this scenario fun, and hope you do too. It is a fairly easy one, mostly city building techniques needed to enjoy.
