EGYPT HAS DECLARED WAR!
You, great emperor of Mycenae, must defend your empire
from destruction. Pharaoh has found you too prosperous and
a serious threat to land of his kingdom.Your diplomats have
been at negotiations with Egypt for some time and Egypt has
had enough talk, they beat their war drums. All Mycenaean
merchant ships and men in Egypt have been destroyed.
Egypt has a large navy, use your wit and the terrain to defeat
overwhelming forces. Two other conquered cities of yours will
trade with you. Pharaoh is also attacking Knossos, send troops
or find yourself without a needed trade route. Because you
have been a good friend to the Hittites, they will trade you beer
and papyrus. It is costly though because they have to import
it from Egypt. Then, export it to you. From time to time Knossos
and Enkomi will ask you for papyrus so they can write in
Linear B, a new greek dialect. Whatever you do don't let the
transports land chariots. Worship the Egyptian gods, they
could turn against the Egyptians.
Build a capital for your growing empire. It has to have at
least 4,000 people, a culture rating of 35, and a prosperity
rating of 30. You must please your vassals of your other cities
so a kingdom rating of 100 is needed. Build a strong navy and
send troops when asked. Build quickly, for Pharaoh is known
for many things but patience is not one of them.
This scenario is HARD.
