This scenario is about Pharoah Akhenaten and his wife Nefertiti city of the sun Amarna that he built once they turned against the established gods of Egypt and decided to build a new city dedicated to the all ruling sun god. The scenario is limited to a 12 year span during his lifetime, the city was to decay and dissapear just as fast as it was built after his death. Time is of the essence in meeting the game goals. A medium burial tomb is required for Akhenaten and a sun temple dedicated to the new god. Although the kingdom started falling apart due to his pacifist beleifs and the rise of the hittite there was never a direct threat to the city so therefore no military activity in this scenario. The information for this scenario was based loosely on an article in April 2001 National Geographic magazine titled "Pharoahs of the Sun." As in my other scenarios this has been play tested and fine tuned and is a challenging game played on normal difficulty level.
It's a wonder to me that the original game designers didn't include this city as a scenario, as it's about the only historical major city in ancient Egypt that was a start from scratch build a city in a short time period.
