This is my finished city of Dakhla Oasis. I did not try for speed this time. Instead I
focused on supporting a vast, cultured and prosperous city in the desert. In the end I
finished with a 100 prosperity, a 65/70 Culture rating (I was working on adding some
libraries to raise this as I got promoted). The population was over 10,000 and could
support a higher culture rating.
The main plan was to make the basic layout as a ring around the oasis with an irrigation
ditch on the nearest to the water, then farms, then a road and then some more farms if
possible. This left just enough water-bearing land to
establish the housing districts.
Anyway, this was a nice fun city to showoff some of what Pharaoh has to offer in the form
of culture and prosperity.
