Population: 11,165
Finshed the ciy in 351 months on normal

Here is how I approached the city.

After getting wiped out by Hyenas on the mainland I started my city on the Northern shore. I also build a archer fort on the mainland and to my suprise all the Hyenas congregated on the Southern bank where they were easily picked off by the archers.

Lot's of players have used the concept of gardens and animal farms. But I don't think back in the days of Pharoah that was a likely alternative. (Hey let's be realistic, do you you think gardens could really keep out hyenas).

Once the hyenas were under control then started with gold mines in Southeastern quardrent. Built the palace close by to shorten the time to process the gold.
Started the housing evolution process. Pottery, Beer, Linen, and papyrus. What excess I had, I exported. But gold was really my main source of income.

Build a dock and a large storage yard on the Southern bank. Required a lot of SYs for the sandstone. Eventually this became my center distribution spot. All storage yards got goods from this center distribution spot.
Farming was really not a problem. Used fish as my staple food. Suplemented it with peas on the island.

Built three forts on the mainland and one on the Northern bank. Also fortified the island with tower guards to fend off the attacking ships.
Created nine Palatial Estates. Used housing block provided by Reckless Rodent.

Would like to go back and try and beat my time (351 months) which was excessive. Could improve upon it by providing more stone masons during monument construction, and by starting the monuments earlier.
