Well, i just had to replay this one after the silly remarks I made on the forum, where I mixed up trade and resource availablity... So here it is.

I started out with two primary housing blocks, one near the ferry and the other near the docks. First industry was gem mines and jewelry shops and I planted some chickpeas on the island floodplain. By the time my housing ran to need-pottery level and I had some jewelry to trade I opened the water trade route to Behdet and started importing clay and exporting jewelry.

At the same time I opened up half the mines on the opposite bank, which meant I had to add some houses as the distance to the ferry was to large, and a farming community on the near bank. I added some more gem mines and started exporting to Men-nefer as well. After having filled three storage yards and the first request of Pharaoh I opened trade with Abedju to export stone.

The temple complex and the planned 5 manors were added next and I started growing barley and flax for export/use of beer and linen. I added a palace, courthouses and tax offices to get money from the spacious appartments. I had a small dip when I realised I had underestimated my pottery use and took a while recovering my previous levels by addding more potters, I guess this cost me a year or two.

After that I started importing reeds for papyrus to upgrade all housing to residence level. The manors were blocked by small statues to get then to expand in the correct direction and all of the bazaars except those in this block were set to not accept salad, which I used as main second food nor jewelry. I did have a runaway manor in one or two of the other blocks but that was fixed without too much trouble.

I started importing some peas and fish in this time, just to make it easy on my floodplain use and had to wait just a few more months to reach the population target. The mansion was added pretty late when I saw my KR was just above required and I tried to up it with few gifts. Time was too short to get it all the way to 100.

In short, I enjoyed it (even with the stupid mistakes I made). The game is saved a few minutes before the last settlers arrive
