I took on Hetepsenusret having taken a look at Purple's winning Enkomi contest city. There, he used a highly efficient concentric housing block to great effect.
So, I thought I'd give it a go in Hetep - after all, you do need a fair few people in the city in order to be successful (12,000). I reckon it all turned out pretty well - there are 3 of these concestric blocks together in the North of the city, 1 in the East, and 1 in the centre, just north of the 2 pyramids.
In order to get the high prosperity requirement, I decided to have a go at getting a few Palatial Estates. This part of the city isn't terribly pretty to look at (if there was 1 thing I could have done differently, it would have been to make the palace block look better), but it got the job done.
The city you see here has had its industrial heartland torn out - I had over 18,000 citizens by the time I finished the pyramids, and was finding it hard to get the culture rating high enough. So, I ripped out a couple of housing blocks and all the brickworks (a hefty number of clay pits went too). However, I do have several "in progress" saves on my HD - if you want to see any of those, then drop me a line and I can sent you some.
