Tents |
Special tips and tricks on the bottom of the page.
| Structures you need in order to make a tent evolve:
|
The first Inhabitants... These are the first inhabitants your City will have... They will stream into your province, as soon as they get notice that there are vacant lots where they can settle down and undo the stuff they pull in their carts...
If you right-click on
one of the immigrants, while they are rushing towards the soon-to-be-town, they will tell
you what is their primordial objective at the moment: They are the main artery of your City; without them your City is ill-fated and you will have to take good care of them...!!!
Give them water as soon as you can, and place them an engineer post and a prefecture nearby real soon, as their tents are very unstable and fire-proneness... If you are colonizing a desert province or some faraway land, you will probably have to deal with epidemics and pests, so give them a doctor nearby, too... Be aware also, that tents can NOT be located more than two blocks away from a road, and that the road has to have physical access to the point where the immigrants have come from. But don't get confused...!!! You do NOT need to draw a road all the way to the entrance point...! Just be sure that there are no structures, or mountains, or trees within their way. If the settlers are to populate an island, make sure that a bridge is there, and -by all the gods in the pantheon...!- don't let anyone destroy that bridge...!!! Said this, the only thing that you still have to know about tents, is that they should be upgraded to a better housing as soon as possible. Check out this illustration of the items that can push a tent to a higher level of housing. |

Tips and Tricks:
1) If you are on a military assignment, make the
first temple to Mars in the second or third month. This will grant you almost surely his
blessing for the first invasion. |
